Nerdy Diva

Logo Re-Design Project

BACKGROUND: Nerdy Diva is a Black woman-owned tech company specializing in transforming visions into reality through expertly crafted training, innovative UX design for websites and apps, impactful instructional design materials, and dynamic e-learning solutions.

OBJECTIVE: To update the company’s current logo and brand identity elements in order to elevate their brand position in the corporate UX design market.

  • Reflect the culture of the brand's leadership and audience (primarily Black and brown women)

  • Communicate a sense of empowerment while balancing a minimalist style

  • Establish a unique identity that is also compatible with tech industry design

the process of Reconstructing the logo is the basis of the brand's refreshed visual identity. Its features reference several key features about the brand, including the company's origins as a Black woman-owned business, its multicultural audience of clientele and team members, and its position as a leading competitor in the corporate UX design market.

RESULTS: Upon completion of the project, my client was able to:

  • market to and secure high-end clientele such as LinkedIn, Nielsen Norman Group, Northeastern University, and Saint Louis University

  • increase national exposure for their company, including starring in an interview on Good Morning America about careers, job searching, and salary negotiation in tech

  • earn features in local and national publications, including The New York Times, O’Reilly Media, and the St. Louis American
